As the Sydney office continues to grow, we are privileged to serve an expanding list of leading Australian and international employers.

The Sydney team provides high-impact advisory, high-stakes litigation for leading employers when it matters most through specialised expertise in employment, workplace relations, and work health and safety law. The Sydney office collaborates with employers who have operations in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region. To date, the office has represented some of the Asia Pacific region’s leading organisations on high-profile disputes, and advised employers on workforce strategy development, and high-stakes health and safety matters.

Our team is led by recognised leaders in their fields and include several partners and senior lawyers who are repeatedly cited in Chambers Asia Pacific and The Legal 500 as top practitioners. Our national practice is also ranked in the First Tier by Doyles Guide.

CULTURE

The Sydney office is committed to playing an active role in our communities through charitable giving and pro bono legal work. Our team participates in the Fair Work Commission’s pro bono program, where we assist self-represented applicants addressing jurisdictional objections made to their applications. Seyfarth’s Sydney office works with MacArthur Legal Centre—a not-for-profit, community legal centre which provides free legal advice and is based in the suburb of Macarthur, approximately 60 kilometres southwest from the Sydney central business district.

Since the partnership began, our team has provided approximately 400 hours of free legal advice and assistance to more than 50 individuals on a range of employment-related legal issues. Seyfarth was awarded the “Best Pro-Bono Partnership Award” by MacArthur Legal Centre at its 30th Anniversary Awards Night. We are very proud of this recognition, and we look forward to continuing this work with the centre.

Our team also takes part in a wide variety of events to raise money for charity, including Biggest Morning Tea, the Girl Up Global 5K, and Oxfam Trailwalker.

The Sydney office is located near Circular Quay, with spectacular views across the world-famous harbour. Public transport, cafes, restaurants, and the beautiful Botanic Gardens are all within easy reach. Our modern conference facilities allow us to welcome clients and brief them on the issues affecting their business, as well as host events. We pride ourselves on our open and collaborative team culture, which is underpinned by our collaboration spaces. These areas allow staff to come together, share ideas, and develop the best solutions for our clients.
