Seyfarth Lawyers Greg Markel and Heather Murray Receive Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing

Seyfarth Shaw LLP is proud to announce that Litigation partner Greg Markel and associate Heather Murray have been selected by the Burton Awards as 2018 recipients of the “Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Awards” for their article, “Internal Investigations: Best Practices for Special Committees,” published by Practical Law The Journal - Litigation, June 2017.

The Burton Awards program, run in association with the Library of Congress and sponsored by Law360 and the American Bar Association, annually recognizes the finest law firm writers. Winners are chosen from articles submitted from the nation's 1,000 largest law firms. Funded by the Burton Foundation, a non-profit, academic effort devoted to recognizing and rewarding excellence in the legal profession, the Burton Awards were established to honor the finest accomplishments in law, including writing, reform, public service and interest, regulatory innovation, and lifetime achievements in the profession.

Markel and Murray will be honored at an award ceremony celebrating the 19th anniversary of the Burton Awards at the Library of Congress on May 21, 2018.
