Alan’s practice focuses on patent issues as well as other intellectual property matters. He has broad experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications across a range of technical fields, with a particular focus on computer software, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, computer networking, aerospace, and semiconductor technologies. A registered US Patent Attorney, Alan has significant experience conducting interviews with patent examiners and handling appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Alan works with both emerging companies and established high-technology organizations to evaluate intellectual property strategies and provide practical guidance on issues such as portfolio development and technology transfer. He helps clients identify and protect valuable innovations while aligning intellectual property strategies with broader business objectives.
In addition to his patent prosecution work, Alan assists with litigation involving complex technologies, including patent infringement and trade secret disputes. His technical background and prosecution experience allow him to analyze complicated subject matter and support litigation teams in matters where a deep understanding of technology is critical.
