More About Amy

Amy provides full-service trademark and copyright advice and counsel to clients looking to protect and enforce their biggest assets: their brands. She counsels and brainstorms with clients at the nascent stage of their brand creation, through trademark clearance and filing trademark and copyright applications domestically and abroad. Amy helps clients monitor and enforce their trademarks worldwide using Seyfarth's cutting-edge software tools, and assists clients in maintaining their trademark filings worldwide.

Apart from the trademark portfolio management pieces, Amy strategizes with clients on how to ensure they have the best trademark coverage possible, and advises which potential adverse matters may require action. Amy always prioritizes the practical approach with her clients and strives for excellence in results, while keeping an eye on costs.

Amy also works with clients on creating and implementing anti-counterfeiting and domain takedown programs through the use of internal and external software tools and platforms. Additionally, Amy prepares licensing solutions for clients primarily in the consumer goods space.

Amy is a fervent user of Seyfarth's premier suite of technology tools. She has assisted in creating (and continues to revamp) an online tool for one of the largest health insurance companies in the country, and more recently has assisted in creating the same for another Fortune 500 consumer goods company. The tool allows users to submit a request for trademark clearance, and transforms the request into easily-accessible data that becomes the backbone for business metrics data (to help track cost over time and over work performed, for example). The tool’s platform capability also serves as a repository of information for future reference. The tool is available to business personnel and has received very positive feedback (through NPS scoring), which is also tracked in the tool.

"I love helping business owners develop, grow, and protect their brands."

Amy finds it rewarding to work alongside trademark practitioners with a similar passion for client service and building rapport—not just with clients, but with our associates internationally, who help us deliver great results to our clients.

While in law school, Amy interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a large sports apparel company. She then interned in Seyfarth's Boston office before transferring to its Los Angeles office. While at Seyfarth, Amy was seconded for nine months to one of the firm's largest trademark portfolio clients, a Fortune 50 company. She has directly experienced the challenges our clients face daily, which has afforded her a unique way to relate to and advise clients.
