The fast-growing Seyfarth Atlanta office combines full service, leading attorneys and counsel with extraordinary professionals and award-winning innovations to provide clients the highest level of service.

Founded in September 1996, the Atlanta office has grown from its original two attorneys to approximately 100. We give full-service legal counsel, with strong practice offerings in labor and employment, commercial real estate, corporate finance, business immigration, commercial litigation, trademark, environmental, construction, and employee benefits. Our attorneys are thought leaders in their respective fields and are frequent speakers, authors, and panelists for a variety of professional and industry organizations throughout the metro Atlanta business community, including the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the Urban Land Institute, and The Society for Human Resource Management.

RECOGNITION

Seyfarth’s Atlanta office is frequently awarded for excellence in legal practice, delivery and best places to work. We are repeatedly recognized among the top ranked law firm practices and individual attorneys by leading legal publications like Chambers USA, The Legal 500, BTI Consulting, US News and World Report, Benchmark Litigation, LawDragon, and World Trademark Review 1000.

We are proud to be ranked by the Human Rights Campaign as “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality” with the firm receiving a 100% Corporate Equality Index score. Over the years we have also been awarded “Best Places to Work” by the Atlanta Business Chronical. Several attorneys have been recognized nationally for their leadership and contributions to diversity and inclusion. Atlanta attorney and practice leader, Kwame Benjamin was awarded Lawyers of Color’s "Nation’s Best List" in 2019.

Finally, Atlanta is home to the Real Estate Due Diligence Hub, one of the firm’s leading-edge delivery resources. This team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff exclusively handle the due diligence phase of commercial real estate transactions. In partnership with one of our real estate clients, Seyfarth won best Client/Law Firm Team at The American Lawyer 2018 Industry Awards.

CULTURE

The Atlanta office has a long-standing commitment to its associates and employees for high work satisfaction, career development, and leadership training. Over the years, we have been recognized for the highest satisfaction surveys and recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of Atlanta’s "Best Places to Work." We have a highly successful history in elevating attorneys to the partner level through purposeful mentorship programs and career growth strategies.

The Atlanta office is also committed to supporting the communities where we live and work. Our attorneys volunteer their time advocating for and representing those in need. In addition to our pro bono legal work, the Atlanta office places emphasis on involvement within the local community and encourages participation across a variety of philanthropic initiatives. Atlanta office attorneys and staff sit on numerous boards and committees that promote a healthy community, including children’s causes, such as the Everybody Wins! reading program and March of Dimes; environmental groups, such as The Nature Conservancy; and other community related organizations, such as Atlanta Humane Society.

Our office is proud that the Atlanta attorneys and staff have regularly been recognized as pro bono and community service leaders, and individuals have been awarded Pro Bono Partner of the Year, Pro Bono Associate of the Year, and Pro Bono Team of the Year honors, Unsung Hero honors, and Community Service Award champion honors at Seyfarth. In addition, three of our partners were recognized as Pro Bono All-Stars for their ongoing commitment to providing pro bono services for 10 years. In 2018, our office managing partner was awarded Volunteer of the Year by Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.

SETTING

The Atlanta office is located at the 12th and Midtown development, the cornerstone of the Midtown Mile, which includes a more than 3 million-square-foot, mixed-use development spanning four city blocks. Our office building, in the heart of Midtown Atlanta and along Atlanta’s famed Peachtree Street, is also an LEED-certified property, and the office was one of Atlanta’s first law firms to be awarded the coveted LEED Commercial Interiors Silver certification for green design. The offices boast 10-foot ceilings and open workstations for paralegals and other support staff, creating an airier and more light-filled environment than typical professional services firms. A nursing room is available for mothers with young children, along with a shower facility for all staff, which makes it easier for personnel to commute to work via bicycle or other green modes of transportation.

Additionally, in a departure from the historical law firm layout, the Atlanta office features universal office dimensions, meaning all of the attorneys have the same office size, even those with corner offices. The one-size office minimizes reconfiguration costs and increases flexibility related to future growth.
