Christian Hallett is an attorney in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She assists publicly traded and private companies in complying with the complicated tax and ERISA laws affecting employee benefits by providing clients with understandable and practical advice. 

While Ms. Hallett has considerable experience with counseling clients on assorted employee benefit issues, her practice has a particular emphasis on health and welfare benefit plans and plan investment and fiduciary compliance issues.  She advises large national employers on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Health Care Reform), HIPAA privacy and security rules and other welfare benefit issues.  Ms. Hallett also has significant experience counseling investment managers on structuring and operating private equity funds in connection with investments from pension plans and counseling pension plans with respect to such investments.  Her other specialties include assisting clients with understanding ERISA fiduciary obligations, advising on the employee benefit aspects of mergers and acquisitions, designing executive compensation plans, negotiating third party administrator service agreements and advising on international benefit compliance issues.
