Christina Olson is an associate in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She is a member of the Firm’s Capital Strategies Group within the Firm’s Cross-Border Transactional Practice. Ms. Olson focuses her practice in both real estate and corporate law.

In her current capacity as a real estate lawyer, Ms. Olson focuses largely on commercial real estate leasing, real estate development, and real estate lending. Ms. Olson comes to us from a leading financial institution, where here career was focused on a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions. During her time in both the New Markets Tax Credits and REO groups she specialized in: process and procedure development, credit risk analysis, the real estate development process, real estate lending, and portfolio management.

As a corporate lawyer, Ms. Olson concentrates on complex cross-border transactions involving a variety of counterparties located in different jurisdictions. She focuses, in particular, on M&A, global outsourcing, and strategic corporate initiatives. Ms. Olson’s prior career experience includes service with Fortune 100 firms where her specialty was macroeconomic analysis as relevant to strategic corporate transactions.

Ms. Olson’s first role at the Firm also positions her to provide even more relevant counsel in both her areas of practice. Ms. Olson joined the Firm in 2011 to serve as a Managing Director for SeyfarthLean Consulting (“SLC”), the Firm’s wholly owned subsidiary focused on the implementation of SeyfarthLean solutions in corporate law departments, HR, procurement and other enterprise functions. Her responsibilities included: an engagement with a Fortune 100 sportswear company developing strategic plans for their legal function, the design and implementation of leading innovation service delivery solutions, the development and management of financial models for SLC, and a wide variety of other strategic advisory roles with Fortune 500 clients. In that role, Ms. Olson also earned a Lean Six Sigma Certification, significant program management experience, and designed a comprehensive transaction management toolset.

A 2009 graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Ms. Olson earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, and is conversant in both German and French.
