Elizabeth Banaszak serves as Counsel in the Labor and Employment Department at Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago Office. 
 
Ms. Banaszak represents employers in a range of employment law matters  before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and in federal court.  Ms. Banaszak’s experience includes claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Equal Pay Act, and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.
 
Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Banaszak served as a Senior Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, where she litigated employment discrimination cases in federal courts across the country.  Ms. Banaszak’s work at the Department of Justice focused on the investigation and litigation of complex, systemic claims of discrimination.
