People: Eugene Jacobs, Partner
Biography
Mr. Jacobs is a partner in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Department. He has focused his practice on employee benefits matters since the passage of ERISA in 1974. Mr. Jacobs’ practice covers virtually every area of employee benefits, and he has particular experience in the negotiation of collectively bargained retirement and welfare plans, representation of employers regarding multiemployer pension plan withdrawal liability, executive compensation, the design and implementation of voluntary and involuntary separation programs, and other welfare plans and the representation of clients in ERISA-related litigation.
Mr. Jacobs has been a member of the faculty at Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also serves as a professional management trustee and legal counsel to numerous Taft-Hartley Funds.
