Ifeoma Onuora is counsel in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Houston office.  She represents employers in single plaintiff matters involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation in federal and state courts, and before federal and state agencies.

Ms. Onuora has experience litigating in a variety of areas, including labor and employment, insurance defense, premises and product liability, professional responsibility, third party bad faith, contract interpretation and multi-district antitrust defense matters. She also has experience managing eDiscovery, document collection, retention and review.

Ms. Onuora served as judicial intern to the Honorable Richard B. Lowe III in the New York State Supreme Court -  Commercial Division as a first year law student.  Upon graduation, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Jane Bruskin Cantor, J.S.C.(retired) in the New Jersey State Superior Court.  She received her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the New York International Law Review and student attorney with the Queens County District Attorney Domestic Violence Unit  through St. John’s Prosecution Clinic.

Before entering law school, Ms. Onuora worked in hospitality and special events management with the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the American Heart Association of Northern New Jersey.

She is fluent in the Igbo language.
