Jason Usher is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Washington, D.C. office.

Mr. Usher represents both unionized and union-free clients in a full range of labor and employee relations matters, with a particular focus on traditional labor matters.  Mr. Usher has experience in collective bargaining, labor arbitration, NLRA compliance advice, and representation before the National Labor Relations Board and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Mr. Usher also conducts training and counsels clients on a host of employment related matters, from wage payment and other wage and hour issues to best practices with respect to compliance with state, federal and local laws, background checks and hiring, internal investigations, employee discipline and counseling, preparation of employee handbooks and employee terminations.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Mr. Usher was an associate with a well-known boutique labor and employment firm in the Washington, D.C. metro area, defending management in all aspects of labor and employment matters.  He also served as a Field Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board where he investigated unfair labor practice charges, conducted secret ballot elections, participated in representation hearings, and litigated numerous unfair labor practice charges.
