Joseph Y. Wang is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  His practice has included various aspects of commercial real estate law, with particular focuses on leasing, development, and lending.


Mr. Wang has experience representing clients in a wide range of property types and projects, including shopping centers, suburban single-tenant buildings, downtown office buildings, and university campuses, and for uses including high security research & development, multifamily apartment complexes, and small scale retail.  He also drafts and negotiates lease agreements, conveyance instruments, purchase and sale contracts, sale-leasebacks, and loan documents.  Of particular note, Mr. Wang was closely involved in drafting a complex, multi-phase development agreement and its included leases, subleases, amendments, loan documents and more in order to secure a multitude of state and local incentives for a client.  In addition, Mr. Wang has extensive experience in many aspects of commercial real estate due diligence


Mr. Wang currently serves as a Co-Chair of the Diversity Action Team in the Boston office, and is a Co-Chair of the Promotion and Retention Committee of the Boston Bar Association’s Diversity & Inclusion Section.
