Ms. Docabo is an associate in the New York office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  A member of the Real Estate group, Ms. Docabo’s practice entirely focuses on commercial real estate transactions.

Ms. Docabo regularly represents institutional and private investors in connection with their acquisition, disposition, financing, re-financing, leasing and joint venture activities involving commercial, mixed-use, retail/shopping center and large-scale/multi-unit residential apartment properties throughout the country.

Ms. Docabo routinely represents institutional and private lenders in connection with their commercial mortgage loan origination activities and other types of financings, including, but not limited to, construction, mezzanine and permanent loans.

Ms. Docabo actively represents one of the nation’s largest and most prominent retailers on matters and transactions involving its existing store facilities. 

Ms. Docabo also advises cooperative corporations and condominium associations on general matters.

An active member and supporter of the Hispanic National Bar Association (the “HNBA”), Ms. Docabo was appointed to the Latina Commission of the HNBA, and served as a commissioner for the 2013 - 2015 term.  Ms. Docabo presently serves as Deputy Regional President of Region II (New York) of the HNBA.  In March 2017, the HNBA selected Ms. Docabo for the prestigious “Top Lawyer Under 40 Award”, awarded to attorneys who have demonstrated “professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.”  In addition to her activities with the HNBA, Ms. Docabo is also a member of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law (New York Chapter), the Cuban American Bar Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey and the National Association of Women Lawyers and a 2015 Fellow of the Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Ms. Docabo worked for the state and federal judiciaries in New Jersey.  While attending Hofstra University School of Law, she was Senior Editor of the Family Court Review.  Ms. Docabo is fluent in Spanish.
