Luke Edwards is a partner in the International Employment practice of Seyfarth Shaw, based in Australia.   Qualified in both Australia and the UK, Luke is an experienced advisor to multinational and Australian organisations on all aspects of employment and industrial relations.

With a particular specialisation supporting organisations manage their cross-border workforces and a regional specialty in the Asia Pacific, Luke has the legal knowledge backed with the in-depth cultural understanding needed to support organisations operate successfully across borders, and in individual countries.

Working collaboratively with clients, Luke achieves strategic and commercially driven outcomes. Covering the full range of employment law work, including general employment advisory, industrial relations, employment and industrial relations disputes and litigation, cross border projects and the employment aspects of corporate transactions, joint ventures and outsourcings.

Some of Luke’s recent matters include successfully defending a multinational investment bank (at first instance and on appeal) in a AUD$10 million claim in the Federal Court involving allegations of misleading and deceptive conduct and breach of contract, and advising a listed healthcare company in relation to its industrial relations strategy, including successfully defending a union low paid bargaining application commenced in the Fair Work Commission.
