Luke Edwards is a partner in the International Employment practice of Seyfarth Shaw LLP Australia. He has over 10 years of experience and is qualified in both Australia and the UK.

Luke advises various multinational and Australian-based clients in all aspects of employment and industrial relations matters. His clients come from a range of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, retail, pharmaceuticals, gaming and transport and logistics.

Luke works collaboratively with clients to achieve strategic and commercially driven outcomes. His practice covers the full range of employment law work, including general employment advisory, industrial relations, employment and industrial relations disputes and litigation, cross border projects and the employment aspects of corporate transactions, joint ventures and outsourcings.

Some of Luke’s recent matters include successfully defending a multinational investment bank (at first instance and on appeal) in a A$10 million claim in the Federal Court involving allegations of misleading and deceptive conduct and breach of contract, and advising a listed healthcare company in relation to its industrial relations strategy, including successfully defending a union low paid bargaining application commenced in the Fair Work Commission.

Luke also regularly represents clients in matters before various Tribunals and Courts, including the Fair Work Commission, the District Court of New South Wales, the Coroner’s Court of New South Wales, the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.
