More About Margaret

Margaret's practice focuses on defending employers against single-plaintiff claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on sex, race, national origin, age, religion, pregnancy, disability, and other protected characteristics. Margaret has experience representing employers in federal and state courts, administrative agency investigations, and mediations.

Prior to Seyfarth, Margaret was a senior in-house attorney for a large regional employer in Charlotte. In that role, Margaret advised on accommodation and leave requests, investigations into employee misconduct, drafting of personnel policies, and wage & hour issues.

Following law school, Margaret clerked for the Honorable Richard A. Elmore on the North Carolina Court of Appeals for two years.

Margaret is active in the North Carolina Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section, and is currently the group's vice chair.
