Mr. Curtin is senior counsel in the Corporate Department of Seyfarth Shaw’s Boston office.
 
With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Curtin’s practice focuses on bank and other financial institution corporate and regulatory work including bank acquisitions, restructurings, investments and recently Dodd Frank Act compliance. He represents US banks in establishing operations internationally and foreign banks in connection with their US operations. He also advises US and non-US companies in connection with the provision of payment services. He has led the legal work in international transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and the Caribbean. Through Financial Services Volunteer Corps, Mr. Curtin consults with foreign governments, central banks and financial ministries regarding banking and financial market structural matters in the Balkans and the Middle East.
 
Mr. Curtin has been individually recognized in Chambers USA as "encyclopaedic" in his knowledge" of financial services regulation, and offers significant international perspective and is praised by his clients for his "incredibly fast turnaround" and for being "a really talented lawyer."
