More About Paul

When dealing with employment law, clients want to achieve outcomes that meet business requirements. Paul guides and advises clients by providing clear, practical advice on the options and the legal risks, and recommends approaches that will achieve a successful outcome—and meet his clients' business goals. He is known for working collaboratively with domestic business and international corporations, and for delivering commercially-focused and tailored solutions to clients.

Paul has a wealth of knowledge and experience advising on the legal matters that arise before, during, and after employment at an international and UK domestic level. He has been a practicing solicitor for almost two decades, and in that time, has advised a wide range of cross-sector businesses, from startups to household name corporations.

Paul advises on a broad range of employment matters including but not limited to: service agreements, employment contracts, staff handbooks, employment status, consultancy agreements, family-friendly rights, discrimination, restrictive covenants, confidentiality, redundancies, re-organizations, business transfers, integration/harmonization projects, international assignments, settlement negotiations, termination of employment, and employment litigation.

Paul invests a great deal of time and energy getting to know the clients he works with—both the individuals, as well as the business in which they work. This dramatically increases the clarity and quality of communication between Paul and his clients. He is often treated as part of his clients' HR function, whether that is a dedicated HR team, or individuals/counsel tasked with HR matters.

Paul enjoys the endless variety of work that comes across his desk from a fantastic range of clients who are universally a pleasure to partner with. He very much feels that Seyfarth's clients are a reflection of the firm, being highly successful, but personable, supportive, and collaborative in how they go about their work and business.
