Shauna L. Fulbright-Paxton is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office. Ms. Fulbright-Paxton has experience representing management in an array of labor, employment and commercial litigation including  Title VII, FMLA, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, restrictive covenants and non-compete agreements, workers’ compensation retaliation, contract disputes, and personal injury. Ms. Fulbright-Paxton also has experience counseling clients on a variety of workplace matters, including  discipline, discharge, workplace policies, and EEO compliance. Ms. Fulbright-Paxton’s past clients are from a number of different sectors and have included Fortune 100 corporations, commercial transportation companies, beverage/food manufacturers, public universities and healthcare facilities. 

Before joining Seyfarth Shaw,  Ms. Fulbright-Paxton practiced at a respected litigation and employment boutique.  During that time she was part of a Monitor Compliance Team in connection with a five-year consent decree that settled one of the EEOC’s largest race discrimination/harassment cases in recent years in the Midwest. The monitored company is a global transportation logistics company with a union employee base. The Monitor Compliance Team recommended improvements to the Company’s EEO compliance program in order to address any gaps. The Monitor Compliance Team also oversaw implementation of those recommendations in collaboration with the Company and the EEOC.

Ms. Fulbright-Paxton also practiced for five years as a litigation associate at a Chicago-based Vault 50 law firm. Ms. Fulbright-Paxton’s previous experience also includes serving as a law clerk to the Honorable David H. Coar  (Retired) of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
