Sherry Klenk is a paralegal in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Department and leads Seyfarth Benefits Consulting (“SBC”) (f/k/a Employee Benefits Administrative Service Center). SBC offers clients a suite of administrative services for defined contribution and defined benefit tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, as well as all types of health and welfare benefit plans.  SBC provides a consolidated platform to deliver critical employee benefit plan services with a strategic staffing model and special fee structures to optimize efficiency and delivery.  By applying SeyfarthLean methodologies to these services, SBC delivers these services promptly and efficiently, freeing up employee benefits personnel to focus on core business matters. Ms. Klenk collaborates with attorneys to serve clients in multiple functions across all areas of employee benefits law, including: coordinating and supervising discrete projects, managing client legal instrument reviews ERISA and employee benefit compliance administration including the preparation and review of various filings (including IRS determination letter, Form 5300 & 5500 series, delinquent filer voluntary compliance program, and top hat for non-qualified plans). Review and manage defined contribution claim administration and oversee QDRO and QMCSO administration.
 
Ms. Klenk has frequent contact with the Department’s largest clients - interfacing with all staff levels, in-house counsel, as well as outside and opposing counsel, plan participants, and vendors.  Also, Ms. Klenk interfaces regularly with government agencies.
 
Ms. Klenk is a certified Six Sigma “Green Belt.” Using Lean Six Sigma and project management methodologies, our SeyfarthLean® approach delivers increased value to our clients at a time of increased market pressures and competitive demands.
