Alison H. Hong is an associate in Seyfarth Shaw LLP's San Francisco office and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group.
 
Ms. Hong specializes in management-side employment matters under state and federal law, including laws governing wage and hour, discrimination and harassment, protected leaves of absence, wrongful termination, whistleblower protection, and other workplace matters. Ms. Hong defends employers against single plaintiff, multi-plaintiff,  EEOC pattern or practice, and class/representative actions (including PAGA claims) as well as government agency charges (including EEOC, DFEH, and DLSE claims). She also advises employers on personnel decisions, workplace policies and practices, contractor and overtime exemption classification, government agency audits, and general legal compliance.
 
Ms. Hong received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and B.A. from the University of Washington. While attending law school, Ms. Hong served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Peter Busch and the Honorable Patrick J. Mahoney in the Law and Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
 
Ms. Hong was named a California Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2015. She also received the California State Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award in 2014.
