Employers regularly are called upon to address accommodations in the workplace.  Are you and your team ready?  Please join us for an informative panel discussion that will address employee requests for accommodations related to time off, breaks, leave, modification of work areas, alternative schedules and more.  Accommodation requests can come in many forms and in many contexts: disability and medical leaves, USERRA, LGBTQ, religion,  pregnancy, and VESSA/domestic violence, with new and varying requests coming in every day.

Join us for a lively discussion on how to recognize requests for accommodations so that you are meeting your legal obligations, how to respond and gather additional information properly; best practices for how to engage in the interactive process and navigate determining whether your company can provide the requested accommodation.  We will also provide examples of legally compliant best practices for managing when the accommodation cannot be made, how to communicate whether an accommodation has been approved or not, and how to discuss alternative accommodations.  We will also address the types of documentation that should be requested or retained as part of the accommodations process.
