Time: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Charles Walters, associate in the Washington, D.C. office, will be presenting a Brown Bag Program at the upcoming District of Columbia Bar/Labor & Employment/Litigation Section meeting.  The presentation will focuson the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and its committment to using alternative methods for resolving disputes in all of its activities, where appropriate and feasible. According to the EEOC, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), if used properly in appropriate circumstances, can provide faster, less expensive, less contentious, and more productive results in eliminating workplace discrimination.

This program will provide information about ADR at the EEOC, including practical pointers from experienced attorneys, who represent employees and employers, on how attorneys can be effective in mediation of private sector EEO cases.
