On December 19, 2008, the D.C. Department of Employment Services issued proposed regulations implementing the Accrued Sick and Safe Leave Act.
The Highlights:
- No employees can access leave until February 11, 2009
- Employees must be employed for 12 months and have worked 1000 hours before they can access leave
- Leave requirements are based on number of eligible employees in District of Columbia
