New York Paid Family Leave: What Employers Need to Do Now

The New York Paid Family Leave Law became effective January 1, 2018.  The law provides job-protected leave and pay to eligible employees for family-care reasons.  We will discuss the nuts and bolts of what employers need to do to comply with the new law, the law’s complex eligibility requirements, and administration of paid family leave waivers.  In addition, we will provide an overview of how the law interacts with other leave laws and employer-provided paid leave.
