Leslie Maffeo is a staff attorney in the Labor & Employment practice group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP in the Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Maffeo has extensive experience representing clients in discrimination and wage and hour matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Maffeo worked in-house for a retail and food services company with over 30,000 employees throughout the United States. In that position, she advised human resources professionals and senior management in all aspects of employment law compliance; investigated and responded to equal employment opportunity complaints and wage claims filed with state and federal agencies; managed outside counsel on employment litigation matters; developed and conducted sexual harassment training for management employees; completely revamped the company's corporate compliance program pertaining to state and federal wage and hour laws; and revised existing polices and drafted new policies relevant to equal employment and wage and hour compliance.

Ms. Maffeo has significant experience in all phases of litigation and trial work, as well as the administrative process and alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Maffeo has also counseled clients regarding employment policies and manuals, and assisted in developing client employment law seminars.
