Seyfarth Shaw and Brown Brothers Harriman to Host Free Legal and Community Services Fair in Boston

BOSTON (October 16, 2014) – Seyfarth Shaw LLP and Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) today announced that they will again host a free legal and community services fair for the Dorchester/Roxbury community. The fair will be held at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps and Community Center on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
 
This will be the second straight fair hosted by Seyfarth and BBH, and the number of Boston legal and social aid agencies donating their time for community members continues to grow.  At this year’s event, the sponsor organizations providing free counsel on a wide range of important matters will include Disability Law Center; Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation; Greater Boston Legal Services, School to Prison Pipeline Project; HomeStart; Lawyers Clearinghouse; Legal Advocacy & Resource Center; Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School; Northeastern Law’s Domestic Violence Clinic; Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation; PAIR Project; Project Bread; The City of Boston Credit Union; Victim Rights Law Center; and Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Representatives will be available to advise on issues related to immigration, domestic abuse, social security, employment, unemployment, CORI, education, public benefits, civil rights, landlord-tenant, foreclosure prevention, family law, custody, bankruptcy, and small business advice, among other things.
 
In addition to organizing the free legal and community services fair, volunteers from Seyfarth and BBH will be working on-site to assist residents and help direct them to the proper legal or social aid agency for their needs.
