Seyfarth Receives Perfect Score in 2016 Corporate Equality Index

CHICAGO (November 18, 2015) — Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today that, for the eighth consecutive year, the firm earned a perfect score of 100 in the annual Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and was named a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”

Seyfarth chairman J. Stephen Poor remarked, “We are proud to be recognized for our efforts to strengthen the diversity of our workforce, and for creating an inclusive workplace for LGBT attorneys and personnel.”

The 2016 CEI rated 1,027 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Seyfarth’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
