Erin knows that success looks different to each client, so she helps them navigate through complex (and often personal) employment decisions to reach their best possible outcome.
More About Erin
For over 20 years, Erin has guided employers through the life cycle of an employee—from onboarding, coaching and training, and performance management, to exit strategy. There is no one way to resolve workplace issues, so understanding what success looks like to each client is an important part of Erin's philosophy. She takes the time to get to know her clients, to understand what their risk tolerances are, and what the legal or HR professionals need in order to be successful partners to their constituents.
Since preventative measures do not always go as planned, Erin also understands the importance of preparation and partnering with clients to create a strong litigation defense strategy that achieves the right outcome, matches the employer’s success expectations, and provides peace of mind to managers and executives.
A seasoned trial attorney, Erin has achieved impressive results for her clients (regardless of where that dispute originated), including:
- A complete defense verdict in a federal jury trial (Ohio, 2022) involving allegations of race and disability discrimination and retaliation.
- A complete defense verdict in a state court jury trial (Missouri, 2022) involving allegations of disability discrimination and retaliation.
- A complete defense verdict in a federal jury trial (Indiana, 2021) involving allegations of disability discrimination and retaliation.
- A complete defense verdict in a federal jury trial (Pennsylvania, 2019) involving allegations of race and gender discrimination.
- A federal court jury award of less than $15,000, when the plaintiff's pre-trial demand was more than $1 million (Florida, 2014) in a breach of contract action.
- A complete defense verdict in a federal jury trial (Minnesota, 2012) involving allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation.
After close to 20 years with Seyfarth, Erin has worked hard to get to know the talented array of Seyfarth attorneys and professionals throughout the firm and across its practice groups. She has developed strong personal ties with attorneys in every Seyfarth office, so she knows who to call when a client has a jurisdiction-specific query or a question outside of the L&E space.
