Annette Tyman Discusses HR’s Role in Pay Transparency in HR Dive

HR Dive quoted Annette Tyman in its article, “Back to Basics: What is HR’s role in pay transparency?,” on December 6. Tyman discussed how several states have implemented pay disclosure requirements, but HR should go beyond compliance and create overarching pay philosophies.

“Pay transparency laws have the goal of creating equal pay for equal work, but some states have broadened the definition of equal pay to mean equal pay for substantially similar or comparable work, which can be a key distinction.”
