On May 21, 2015, Seyfarth Shaw will host a webinar regarding the amendments to the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) regulations that become effective July 1, 2015.
Similar to the FMLA, the CFRA gives eligible California employees up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave for their own health condition, family care, or to bond with a new child. However, the norm is for California to be different, and as has always been the case, the CFRA continues to be no exception to this general principle.
Our attorneys will cover:
- What employers need to do on July 1, 2015 and after to comply with the amended regulations
- How the CFRA now aligns with the FMLA
- How the CFRA differs from the FMLA
- Possible pitfalls to avoid under the amended CFRA regulations
