Christopher Robertson a Panelist for IPA Webinar "SEC Priorities in 2021 for Real Estate Fund Advisers"

Christopher Robertson, partner in Seyfarth's Litigation department, is serving as a panelist for the Institute for Portfolio Investments (IPA) webinar "SEC Priorities in 2021 for Real Estate Fund Advisers" on April 8, 2021.

According to the SEC’s website, “The Division of Examinations conducts the SEC’s National Exam Program. The Division's mission is to protect investors, ensure market integrity and support responsible capital formation through risk-focused strategies that: (1) improve compliance; (2) prevent fraud; (3) monitor risk; and (4) inform policy. The results of the Division's examinations are used by the SEC to inform rule-making initiatives, identify and monitor risks, improve industry practices and pursue misconduct.”

This session will take a closer look at the 2021 examination priorities in addition to a review of the results from the recent examination of QOZ fund investment advisers. The panel will discuss strategies to effectively prepare for an examination preparedness, reducing firms’ risk of adverse outcomes.
