Daniel Hart Discusses Confidentiality Issues Raised by FTC’s Ban on Non-Competes in ABA Journal

ABA Journal quoted Daniel Hart in its article, “FTC ban on non-competes raises confidentiality issues—and can it be enforced?,” on June 6. Hart discussed that law firms can turn to other tools to protect their business interests, such as nonsolicitation agreements and trademarks, instead of non-compete agreements.

“For information to be entitled to legal protection as a trade secret, the owner of the information must make efforts to protect it that are reasonable under the circumstances.”
