David Rowland was quoted on January 4 in "Competition vs. Accommodation," a Human Resource Executive story about a U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals decision that clarifies an issue of disability and hiring for employers operating in that region, while not delivering a clear-cut strategy nationwide. Rowland said that perhaps the most important real-world implication of the case is that national employees are going to have to take into account the differences among the circuits in determining whether they need to accommodate workers by reassigning them to available positions.
