Dawn Solowey Discusses Raising Religious Beliefs During COVID-19 Vax Suits in Law360

Law360 quoted Dawn Solowey in its article, “Challenging Religious Beliefs Early In Vax Suits May Be Futile,” on January 9. Solowey discussed a recent Fourth Circuit ruling which is a key piece of the evolving law on vaccine exemptions and religious discrimination.

“I definitely think that trying to contest [religious] sincerity at the motion to dismiss stage is very difficult, unless you have highly unusual facts. I think that the law is very much developing on this question of what is sufficient at the motion to dismiss stage to show a religious conflict.”
