Seyfarth’s Greg Markel, Laura Caro Ruiz, and Renée Appel co-authored an article, “The Fraud-on-the-Market Presumption in 2024,” in Practical Law The Journal on July 1. The Seyfarth attorneys discussed the evolution of the US Supreme Court’s jurisprudence on the fraud-on-the-market presumption of reliance in securities class action litigation and how it affects securities class actions.
“We expect lower courts considering the fraud-on-the-market presumption at class certification to refine the issue of whether and how much to rely on certain aspects of evidence that the parties present.”
