Employers across the country are feeling the pain when it comes to paid sick leave laws. In June 2015, we presented on the challenges employers face in understanding when, where and how their businesses and employees are affected by the constantly evolving paid sick leave landscape. Over the last 15 months, paid sick leave laws have continued to grow, creating new, complex compliance obligations for multi-state and nationwide employers.
Join us for an interactive program where attendees will work through assisted paid sick leave policy drafting scenarios and engage in a detailed discussion of “one-size-fits-all” policies and alternative approaches to cure employers’ paid sick leave pain.
Topics will include:
- An overview of the paid sick leave landscape nationwide;
- A multi-jurisdictional paid sick leave policy drafting exercise and discussion;
- Non-Policy practical challenges, including notice, posting, and recordkeeping obligations; and
- A discussion on compliance challenges facing multi-state and nationwide employers seeking a “one-size-fits-all” paid sick leave fix.
