Kristina Launey Recognized in Lawline’s “Top 20 Women Faculty of 2016”

Kristina Launey, partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Department and Managing Partner of the Sacramento office, was recognized in Lawline’s “Top 20 Women Faculty of 2016.” As the first quarter of 2017 came to a close, Lawline’s content team dug deep into 2016 data, including the top courses and its most successful faculty. In particular, the team focused on identifying the top women faculty who, through their powerful CLE programs, influenced and inspired thousands of attorneys across the country. Lawline writes: Kristina’s CLE course, The Americans with Disabilities Act in the Digital Age, provides necessary legal background, tips and strategies to help businesses spot and manage the risks they face in complying with accessibility requirements for technology of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable laws. Lawline members watch Kristina’s course for the “terrific, well-informed and well-delivered coverage of a topic” that is presented in a “conversational yet professional style.”
 
A member of Seyfarth’s ADA Title III Specialty Team, Launey regularly advises and defends clients in litigation arising under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and related California disability access laws - the Unruh Act and Disabled Persons Act. In her employment counseling practice, Launey facilitates employers’ compliance with all federal and state employment laws, such as those governing non-discrimination and anti-harassment, pay equity, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence, payment of wages, workplace violence, privacy, and exemptions.
