Marshall Babson Discusses Whether College Athletes Should be Deemed Employees in The New York Times
The New York Times quoted Marshall Babson in its article, “How Is a College Football Team Different From Its Marching Band?,” on March 18. Babson discussed how the National Labor Relations Board is considering whether some athletes at USC and Dartmouth should be deemed employees.
“Could a basketball player, who flunked an exam on Mesopotamian art, file an unfair labor practice charge claiming his grade was influenced by his union activity?”
