Noah Finkel Discusses Overtime-Exempt Status Under FLSA in Law360

Law360 quoted Noah Finkel in its article, “Key W&H Legislative Trends For 2025,” on January 1. Finkel discussed that, as a result of a Texas federal court striking down the US Department of Labor's new rule, states may increase the salary threshold to qualify for the Fair Labor Standards Act's (FLSA) overtime exemption.

“I would not at all be surprised if additional blue states went ahead and increased that minimum salary level for exempt employees.”
