Ofer Lion was quoted in a June 3 story “Hatch Asks IRS About Private Museums' Exploitation of Tax Code” from Tax Notes Today on Senate Finance Committee Chair Orrin G. Hatch’s letter to IRS Commissioner John Koskinen related to private art museums being an area of our tax code that is ripe for exploitation. Lion said the letter serves its purpose of being a shot across the bow of all private, tax-exempt museums.
