Seyfarth Corporate partner Pete Roberts, latest team member to the firm’s growing Restructuring & Insolvency practice, received the prestigious honor of being inducted into as a American College of Bankruptcy Fellow at a ceremony in Washington, DC, on March 21, 2025.

Roberts joined fellow colleagues who “exemplify the highest standards of integrity and excellence, mentoring younger practitioners while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the insolvency community.”

Roberts represents clients in matters of commercial insolvency, including bankruptcies, workouts, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors, UCC Article 9 sales, and related litigation. He offers a comprehensive background and has extensive trial and appellate experience, including several appeals before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Roberts’ extensive experience expands Seyfarth’s multidisciplinary Restructuring and Insolvency team which handles debt restructuring, financial reorganization, special situations, loan workouts, distressed financings and asset transactions, and bankruptcy litigation—with a focus on multijurisdictional, complex cases.

The American College of Bankruptcy, an honorary public service association of United States and international insolvency professionals, is dedicated to the enhancement of professionalism, scholarship, and service in bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice. Membership, following a rigorous screening process, is by invitation only to lawyers who have “a sustained record of achievement.” Candidates are selected by the College’s Board of Regents from recommendations of Circuit Admissions Councils in each federal judicial circuit and Nominating Committees for Judicial and International Fellows.
