The adopted article of impeachment, "incitement of insurrection," alleged that Trump incited the storming of the United States Capitol on January 6, and referenced his January 2 phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger seeking to find votes to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
