Robert Bodansky and Caroline Keller Published in BNA Federal Contracts Report
"Foreign Buyers' Acquisition of Government Contractors"
Seyfarth Shaw Washington, D.C. office partner Robert Bodansky and associate Caroline Keller wrote an article published in BNA's Federal Contracts Report on July 12. Their article discussed some main concerns for foreign buyers and sellers of government contracts, which include: "the approval process will result in extended delays and extraordinary expenses; the process will result in intrusive disclosures to, and involvement of, the U.S. government in the transaction and the ongoing operations of both buyer and seller; and after the efforts expended by all concerned to get to a deal, the government will disapprove the transaction." Robert and Caroline explain why there is little reason for worry, and they provide examples, examining these concerns from multiple angles.
