Scott Mallery authored an article about ‘Speak Out Act’ in International Employment Lawyer

Seyfarth’s Scott Mallery authored an article in International Employment Lawyer, “MeToo movement continues to inspire legislation with federal ‘Speak Out Act’” on January 9. Mallery discussed Congress’s new two bills in response to the #MeToo movement. By replacing “lawsuit” with “dispute”, the statute now, theoretically, operates to nullify NDAs well in advance of filing an actual lawsuit which opens the floor for employees to come forward about sexual harassment in the workplace.
