Seyfarth Attorneys To Be Panelists at NBA 2022 Labor and Employment Section Annual Conference
Seyfarth attorneys will be panelists at the National Bar Association 2022 Labor and Employment Section Annual Conference on October 27 and 28.
On October 27, Shardé T. Skahan will be part of the "Equal Pay for Equal Work" panel. Panelists will give attendees an overview of federal and state equal pay laws, including who they protect and what they require. Topics will also include salary history bans, pay scale disclosure requirements, and systemic equal pay risks.
Gerald L. Pauling will be part of the panel "The Secret to My Success - Business Development Secrets from Elite Partners." This panel will help with developing strategic growth concepts to help increase profitability, sharpen focus and prioritize, attract high-value clients, and build a great team. Panelists will discuss rainmakers’ secret to success and best practices to achieve growth within a practice.
Angelina T. Evans will be part of the "Using Artificial Intelligence in Hiring and Recruiting and the Associated Risks: The Future is Here" panel. Panelists will focus on AI tools in general and their associated benefits. Additionally, this panel will discuss the recent increased focus on these tools by regulators and legislatures, including the EEOC, OFCCP, New York City, and Washington DC, and the risks associated with their usage.
On October 28, Heather E. Horn will be part of the panel "Prioritizing and Managing Mental Health in the Workplace." Panelists will focus on how mental health issues affect our ability to perform at home and in the workplace, and what we can do about it. Our panel of experts will share valuable insights about managing mental health and share ways to help us better understand the causes and symptoms of mental illness.
Ephraim J. Pierre will be part of the "Successfully Navigating the Law Firm Minefield" panel. This panel of private law firm partners will provide guidance to attendees on how they can best position themselves for leadership and success in private practice, including a discussion of the shifting level of skills that are needed to be successful as they get closer to partnership.
