Seyfarth Named a “Best Law Firm for Women” in 2022

(June 23, 2022) -- Seyfarth announced today that it has been named to Seramount’s “Best Law Firms for Women” list in 2022. The annual “Best Law Firms for Women” list recognizes 50 firms that utilize best practices in recruiting, retaining, promoting, and developing women lawyers. Notably, Seyfarth has been recognized as a Seramount “Best Law Firm for Women” more than ten times, which places the firm in its Hall of Fame.

Seramount’s 2022 “Best Law Firms for Women” application includes more than 300 questions about attorney demographics at different levels, flexibility, paid time off and parental leaves, and development and retention of women. Questions also include ability to work from home some of the time, family-friendly benefits, and mentoring and sponsorship participation.

Seyfarth has steadily increased the number of women in leadership roles across its global platform. Today, over 40 percent of Seyfarth’s executive committee and department leadership are women. A recognized industry leader in law firm inclusion and diversity, Seyfarth has instituted several award-winning programs designed to cultivate and retain underrepresented groups. Notably, the firm launched its own “Rooney Presumption” initiative in 2016 which, inspired by the NFL, has helped improve the hiring of diverse candidates across the firm.
