Seyfarth Represents Kaplan Residential in Historic $126.9 Million Sale of Downtown Atlanta Building
Seyfarth represented Kaplan Residential, a real estate development firm focused on the Southeast US, in its $126.9 million sale of Generation Atlanta, a 17-story, 336-unit multifamily apartment building in downtown Atlanta, to the Frankforter Group. This transaction is the largest multifamily sale in downtown Atlanta’s history.
Seyfarth also represented Kaplan Residential in 2018 when it acquired and developed the approximately 1.8-acre site for Generation Atlanta for $6.4 million. Notably, Generation Atlanta was the first development in Atlanta to use a light gauge steel panelized technology system called “Prescient” which reduced construction costs by 20 to 25 percent. Generation Atlanta officially opened in 2020.
With developments in Florida, New Jersey, Charlotte, and Atlanta, Kaplan Residential is at the forefront of developing well-planned, mixed-use properties. Their partnerships with premier investors and contractors allow them to design and build modern communities in the Southeast that use innovative construction solutions.
