Seyfarth Represents Workspace Property Trust in its $969 Million Acquisition of Liberty Property Trust Portfolio
Seyfarth Shaw LLP represented Workspace Property Trust (WPT), a real estate investment firm led by Thomas Rizk and Roger Thomas, in its acquisition of a $969 million real estate portfolio from Liberty Property Trust (LPT), a leader in commercial real estate.
The portfolio is comprised of 108 office and flex buildings, plus 26.7 acres of land, in five suburban submarkets: Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Tampa, Phoenix, and South Florida. The acquisition was made in partnership with Safanad, a global principal investment firm, and affiliates of Square Mile Capital Management LLC, a diversified real estate investment firm.
In December 2015, Seyfarth represented WPT in its acquisition of a $245.3 million Pennsylvania real estate portfolio from Liberty Property Trust (LPT). Strategically located directly off the Pennsylvania Turnpike within the corporate community of Horsham, PA, this portfolio is comprised of 2,374,749 square-feet across 41 buildings.
Workspace Property Trust is a privately held, vertically integrated, full service commercial real estate company specializing in the development, management, and operation of office and flex space. Workspace Property Trust is a partnership among Rizk Ventures, Safanad, Square Mile Capital, Forum Partners, JMP Group, and EverWatch Capital.
