Seyfarth’s Dawn Mertineit Named a “Boston Rising Star” by the National Law Journal and Connecticut Law Tribune
Dawn Mertineit was recognized by the National Law Journal and Connecticut Law Tribune as a 2015 “Boston Rising Star.” The “Boston Rising Stars” supplement features exemplary young lawyers in the Boston area.
An independent judging panel—composed of public interest lawyers, law professors, general counsel, legal consultants, and private attorneys—scored dozens of nominees on several key measures: development of the law; advocacy and community contributions; service to the bar; and peer and public recognition. Law Tribune and NLJ editors then reviewed the findings and made selections from among those with the highest scores. “The Rising Stars list reflects impressive talent and diversity among up-and-coming young lawyers in Boston,” said Beth Frerking, editor in chief of the National Law Journal.
Mertineit, an associate in Seyfarth’s Litigation department, focuses on complex commercial litigation, primarily representing corporations and their directors and officers in all stages of litigation. She specializes in non-compete and trade secrets litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, from pre-litigation counseling through to judgment or settlement, as well as advising her clients on their non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants.
