Seyfarth’s Uma Chandrasekaran and Kwame Benjamin Named to the Lawyers of Color’s Nation’s Best List

Seyfarth Shaw’s Uma Chandrasekaran, partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment department in Chicago, and Kwame Benjamin, partner in the Real Estate department in Atlanta, were named to the Lawyers of Color’s inaugural Nation’s Best list.

The Lawyers of Color selection committee, comprised of its fellows, advisers, and editorial staff, chose attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Chair of the Chicago office’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Team, Chandrasekaran’s practice focuses on representing management in a broad range of employment issues, with a particular emphasis on class and collective actions.

Leader of the Atlanta office’s Real Estate team, Benjamin’s practice focuses on commercial real estate matters. He represents clients in all facets of transactions involving the leasing, acquisition, disposition, financing and development of commercial real estate, including multi-family, retail, office and industrial assets.

Lawyers of Color celebrates attorneys of color and conducts research and studies regarding the intersection of the legal profession and social justice.
